6-Week Ceramics On The Wheel

This class offers a fun and relaxed environment for beginners and those with some wheel-throwing experience.

Give the gift of clay this holiday season! Classes include demos, group exercises, and one-on-one guidance. Students will learn a variety of techniques as they create cups, bowls, plates, vases, jars and other vessels. Participants will learn unique ways to decorate their pottery and are given creative freedom to develop their own personal aesthetic! Ages 14 to adult.
Class meets Wednesdays from 5:30 – 7:30pm for 6 Weeks:
Session 1 – March 27
Session 2 – April 3
Session 3 – April 10
Session 4 – April 17
Session 5 – April 24
Session 6 – May 1
Class fee includes 25 pounds of stoneware clay, firing and glazes. Additional clay is available for purchase.
In addition to class time, students will have access to the studio from 11am til 1pm each Saturday while class is in session. This open studio time is supervised but instruction is offered only during class time.
There is a 3 student minimum for this class. If fewer than 3 students register, the class will be canceled. So please sign up with your friends!

Students also have the opportunity to learn how kilns are loaded and fired. Once they have gained enough knowledge to work in the studio independently, interested participants may apply for Associate Membership at Erie ClaySpace Artist Association.
