Try Your Hand at Pottery with a Workshop at Erie ClaySpace!

Our Pottery Workshops are Bite-Sized Opportunities for Fun and Learning

Kristen Santiago leads students through a Cocktails and Clay workshop

Are you interested in pottery but can’t commit to a weeks-long course? Are you looking for a fun theme for a birthday party? Perhaps you’re in need of a corporate team-building event? Or you just want a night out with friends or a loved one to enjoy a creative, relaxing activity. If so, a pottery workshop may be just what you’re looking for!

Erie ClaySpace offers a number of workshops throughout the year including our popular Cocktails and Clay evenings. We also can custom-tailor a private workshop or party to your particular needs.

In our wheel and hand-building workshops, you will learn the basic steps to create several pieces. If this is not your first time, you will get a refresher on proper technique and will brush up your skills in a relaxed atmosphere. The instructor will demo several pieces, walk you through each step, and answer any questions you have as you create 2-3 pieces of unique pottery.

We love new ideas! If you have an idea for a class you’d like to see happen, email info@erieclayspace.com.

Instructor Kristen Santiago
This evening pottery workshop is the perfect way to introduce yourself to throwing on the wheel without having to commit to a multi-week class. You will spend the evening learning beginner’s throwing techniques from a local ceramic artist and will create 2-3 pieces all your own. Bring your own snacks and drinks, get a little muddy, and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. Bring a friend, significant other, or just treat yourself! All trimming, glazing, and firings will be completed by the instructor and you can pick up your pieces two weeks after the workshop.
